Bellini is a cocktail drink that was first invented in the 30-40s in Venice by Guiseppe Cipriani. It was created at the famous Harry’s Bar in Venice, which was a favorite hangout spot for such legends as Sinclair Lewis, Ernest Hemingway, and Orson Welles. Apparently, Cipriani was fascinated with the Venetian artist, Giovanni Bellini, who favored the peach color in his art. Nowadays, bartenders often use peach nectar, peach schnapps, or yellow peach puree instead of the original white peach puree. It is your choice. Try this recipe and enjoy!
